UFO OVER LAS VEGAS ?

July 7, 2007

Poolandspa.com News, Las Vegas, NV

The series of photos below were taken by one of our staff photographers from Sunrise Mountain, overlooking Las Vegas, on the night of July 2, 2007.  These photos were taken between 11:48 PM - 11:52 PM by a Nikon digital still camera. Although almost 20 photos from the same camera taken before 11:48 PM, and 11 photos taken after 11:52 PM, at the same location, aimed in the same direction, did not show the same "objects".  We are certainly not saying that these are alien crafts, but they certainly look "unidentified", and make for interesting photos !  Enjoy !

November 21, 2007 Update

We received this update from a Vegas helicopter pilot recently:

"This is in regards to you’re UFO over Vegas photos.  If you haven't already had an email about this, I believe that the ‘UFO’ effect is created by your camera making a longer (timed) exposure and those are actually helicopters going through the sky (over the Strip)."

We think this makes a lot of sense because of the red and blue flashing lights.  Helicopters have these and they are timed one second apart.  That almost perfectly matches up with the time of each exposure.  But who knows? Still interesting pictures though.  Keep looking up !
