UPS Strike Affected Spa Industry

It is hard to believe just how much the Nation’s economy relies on the United Parcel Service. Here at Poolandspa.com (Long Island Hot Tubs), we took for granted the ease at which packages came and went every day. When the August 1997 UPS strike started, we quickly saw the extent to which we, and our suppliers, depended on UPS for almost every business transaction.

At last, it is finally over and things are getting back to normal. However, the strike meant problems throughout the spa industry. Part delays and lost shipments were frequent occurrences.

Although the beginning of August saw a few problems in our shipping department, we quickly solved most of them by switching over to Federal Express.
