Press Release - September 1, 2002 (Long Island Hot Tubs) Inducted into the Aqua Hall of Fame

Madison, Wis. - You have most probably heard of the "Baseball Hall of Fame", and the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame", but did you know there was such a thing as the "Aqua Hall of Fame" ? Well, there is - and (Long Island Hot Tubs) has recently been selected as one of only 48 pool and spa dealers nationwide that have ever been inducted into the prestigious "Aqua Hall of Fame", according to Aqua Magazine, the business magazine for spa & pool professionals.

The company has previously won the "Aqua 100 Award" six times. After 5 consecutive wins, a company is then eligible to be inducted into the "Hall of Fame". This is the 13th year Aqua has used the Aqua 100 program to recognize excellence in spa & pool construction, retail and service.

Being named to the exclusive "Hall of Fame" is one of the highest honors a spa or pool company can receive. A distinguished panel of judges were asked to critique each company on its performance in five key areas: customer service, product knowledge, store design, quality craftsmanship, advertising and promotion.

"It was a lengthy process to narrow down the "Hall of Fame" list this year" said Scott Webb, editor of Aqua. "Hundreds of companies entered the competition, and all of them were extraordinary in their own way."

The "Hall of Famers" come from many different U.S. states and Canada. They range from single-store, family owned operations to multi-million dollar chains. All companies will be profiled in an upcoming edition of Aqua Magazine and on the Aqua Online Web Site, which is located at

"We are very happy about being inducted into the "Hall of Fame" said’s President Daniel Harrison. "This is it. This is by far the biggest honor a business in our industry can receive. Many kids dream of being a professional baseball player and getting into the "Baseball Hall of Fame", but I have always dreamed of being inducted into the "Aqua Hall of Fame" !

Although Daniel knows that this may sound a bit weird, he explains that "Pools and spas are my life. I live, eat, sleep and dream pools and spas. I know many of our employees do as well. So for folks like us, who devote our entire lives to this industry, this award signifies the kind of recognition from our peers that makes it all worthwhile."

Long Island Hot Tubs was established in 1985 and the web site got its start in 1994.
