 Jack Layfield of Sunrise Spas, Canada in conjunction with Dave Wright of Outback Essentials, Florida is pleased to announce the acquisition of the operating assets of Tatum Manufacturing, Inc.

 Sunrise has been producing Sunrise Spas, Paragon Spas and Whitewater Spas for 22 years.  It is located in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada and has distribution for its brands in Europe under the name Whitewater Spas, b.v. 

 Dave Wright of Outback Essentials in Lakeland, Florida designs and builds spa cabinets and provides spa testing services for many spa industry OEM’s.  Dave Wright, well known in the spa industry for many years was critical in brokering the deal between Tatum and Sunrise. 

 The downturn in the spa industry left Sunrise with a need to expand and Outback with surplus space.  While the companies will remain separate legal entities and operations Sunrise will occupy the excess space to produce spas from the acquired assets of Tatum.

 Tatum which operated out of Tampa, Florida produced such spa brands as Gulf Coast, La-z-boy (a licensed brand), Freestyle and Pilates H2O.  Sunrise will produce the La-z-boy and Freestyle brands out of its new Lakeland, Florida facility and a new line not yet released out of its Canadian plant.
