Kentak Introduces Clamp-On Hose To Replace Glued-On Industry Standard

The IAPMO-certified innovation will save manufacturers money in repairs.

 East Liverpool, Ohio, Jan. 15, 2008 – Kentak Products Company introduces a new hose that offers cost savings and convenience to manufacturers of pools, spas and jetted bathtubs. The hose slides onto fittings and is secured with a clamp, rather than being glued on.

 Kentak’s innovation is poised to replace the hose currently used that glues onto the fittings. A leak in the traditional hose meant the entire assembly harness had to be replaced – which is costly. Kentak’s hose allows you to replace just a section of hose, or a bad fitting, because everything is not glued together. This saves the manufacturer money on warranty costs.

 Kentak’s high-quality hose is certified by IAPMO in both the United States and Canada. This hose is manufactured to IAPMO’s PS 33-2007 standard for pools, spas and jetted bathtubs. Manufactured from specially formulated polyvinyl chloride, it’s available on a custom-order basis in a variety of colors.
