Beachcomber Hot Tubs employees
raised over $16,000, as they gave away a hot tub and donated
the funds
to the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de
Valley during the
team's visit to the hot tub factory in Surrey on Friday
September 28th.
The hot tub, valued at $8,995, was donated by Keith Scott,
Founder and
CEO of Beachcomber Hot Tubs group, along with three other
prizes. All
money collected in the sale of the raffle tickets was
donated to the
Canadian Cancer Society and along with donations on the
website totaled
over $16,000.
Tour de
Valley Team Captain Cst. Dave Ogilvy of the Delta Police
Department drew the winning name of Kirk Beaton from Pitt
Meadows.
Since 2005, Beachcomber employees have raised over $70,000
to support
children and their families living with cancer, in memory of
Frank
Scott, Factory Manager, who lost his battle with lung cancer
two years
ago.
