Hot Tub Life Articles

Spa Vacuums Gain Popularity

Many people decide that it’s time to change their hot tub water because they start to see a build up of debris in the bottom of their spa. This is most common with outdoor spa users.

No matter how careful you are getting into your spa, some debris will always find its way into the water and sink to the bottom. This however, does not mean that you have to drain out your tub in order to have a perfectly clean spa floor !

There are now underwater SPA VACUUMS that allow you to suck up that unwanted debris while the water is still in the tub. This dramatically saves on water and chemical bills by allowing you to use the same water for a longer period of time.

There are a few types of SPA VACUUMS available. The "Spa Wand" is a self contained unit that requires no electricity or water hookups. Debris is sucked up into a removable stainless steel catch basket located within the wand as you pull up on the handle.

The "Deluxe Electric" unit comes complete with a recharger and automatically sucks up all the debris with little to no effort. Complete spa vacuuming with either unit takes about a minute or two and leaves your spa looking fresh and new.

The "Grit Gitter" is also a self-contained vac unit that requires no electricity or water hookups. Debris is sucked up into the unit's handle - very simple and easy to operate.

A SPA VACUUM is a great addition to your tub !
