Do not see anywhere on this website that this company is rated or reviewed, yet I see they are carried everywhere, Overstock.com, Home Depot, Sears, lots of companies use their spas, but put their name on it, but I see nothing about Laguna Bay Spas on the Poolandspa website. Was thinking of buying one, but now I'm a little worried that it's not such a good idea.

Tbootsie,
Here is Laguna Bay's idea of a warranty, straight from their website @ http://www.lagunabayspas.com/warranty.php
Warranty: Structural Warranty: 10 Year Surface Warranty: 5 Year Plumbing Warranty: 5 Year Equipment Warranty: 5 Year Labor Warranty: 6 Month
6 Months for labor? At least they are that honest, but where is the actual warranty? This is nothing more than a summary, a common gimmick. ALL REPUTABLE SPA MANUFACTURERS POST THEIR FULL WARRANTIES ON THEIR WEBSITE. I'll make a bet they are also prorating their warranty.
I did a little investigation. They are located only 25 miles from the former Infinity Spas (that also sold through discounters). Infinity went bankrupt in 2008, thereby invalidating all of their warranties. I don't know if there is a connection between Laguna Bay and Infinity, but 2 coincidences (25 miles apart and both sell through discounters) seems unlikely.
My advice? Go with your gut.

Someone just told me that Laguna Bay spas are actually manufactured in China & just assembled here in TN. Not sure if that's true, but it sure has been hard to find anything out about them. Now that you mention Infinity Spas, there is a website that "supposedly" was created by Infinity Spas as an "independent" spa rating site http://poolandsparatings.com/spas.html and they just happen to rate Laguna Bay Spas with a 10, some coincidence. Guess I will just stay away from them, there are too many others with good reputations to deal with.

I cannot confirm the China reference, but there are a # of cheap price spa companies doing exactly that.
You are wise to not pay attention to supposed spa ratings. As far as I know the only company that truly does independent ratings of any products is Consumer Reports and they have never rated hot tubs. There are a # of people/companies claiming to rate spas but one way or another they either take advertising money from spa companies and/or they acquire their "data" from the spa companies themselves. Neither is a truly independent situation.
One of my favorite quotes is from US Supreme Court Justic Louis Brandeis, "Sunlight is the best disinfectant." Whenever a company is not providing the information you want or making claims that are not substantiated, it is a dead give-away that this is a company you would be wiser to avoid. I think you will never know the problems you have avoided by choosing to purchase from a company willing and eager to provide the information you need to make your best decision.
Well done!

I can't guarantee any of the claims you make about the company. But, I can tell you about their warranty. I called them about a problem with a spa I just bought from them a month ago. I talked to the guy on the phone for 5 minutes and he sent me out a new spa controller pack to replace mine. Didn't ask for a return of the old, no charges. Very easy and straight forward.

Actually "Premier" that would be your incorrect interpretation of their "Warranty" or better said as the link to the Warranty "Basics" found on their main site. If you had actually done a "little investigation" on their web site you would have found the entire "Warranty" and should have posted that: http://www.lagunabayspas.com/documentation/LagunaBayWarrantyver.4.12.pdf
As for my investigation....I purchased the X3 and it arrived less than two weeks after purchase and has worked flawlessly since....

Working in this industry for years has taught me that you can always tell the quality of a spa by the warranty given. People think they are saving THOUSANDS of dollars buying these internet spa but will soon realize that the money they saved will catch up to them after 6 months when there labor warranty is done...
The warranty provided by gravity is quite comical. The 6 month warranty on labor should be a HUGE red flag. If every quality company gives 3-5-7 warranties on labor, why would a reputable company give 6 months?????????????? Answer: In my opinion, the spa is made cheaply... I've researched on Panjiva (google it) and when I put in the address on the Laguna Bay website (1044 Fordtown Rd) into Panjiva, it states that manufacturer (Leisure Products Inc.) has received shipments from Guandong Lingxiao Pump Industry Co. in China. I don't know if these pumps are going into the Laguna Bay's but it sure seems to coincidental!!
Consumers fail to realize there are a million ways to cut corners when manufacturing a spa. This is why the internet sales of spas have skyrocketed and most brick and mortar stores are failing. The consumers are going to these stores to shop. They see higher prices and only remember how many jets the spa has. They then go online and think they see the same spa for $1,000's less. These are the customers that the internet company's prey on. I've said this before, how can you buy anything for $1,000's of dollars online and not be able to sit inside of it to see if it's comfortable or not??? Would you buy a car without taking it for a test drive to see if the engine works??
If you see a spa with 80 jets, stereo, lights and waterfalls for less the 4k, please do some research. Remember, they are still pulling a profit at 4k or they wouldn't be in business.

I cant get over trading in a Hot Springs for a Laguna Bay. After 15 years of owning 1 spa, you choose a manufacturer that has a 6 month warranty.. Please let us know how the Laguna Bay is holding up in 2026.
