Looking to purchase a new spa. I purchased a Sundance Cameo in 1999, but it has a leak & LED panel is out; so I want to replace it. I looked at a 2010 Sundance Cameo & was a bit shocked by the sticker price. I also looked a the Pinnacle Plus PN741, which has a lower price tag. I can not find much information out there about the PN741, much less Pinnacle (I have read some info that Pinnacle was Hydro Spa). Can the Pinnacle stand up to Sundance's reputation or will be I be disappointed with the lack of hydro-therapy happiness??? Your advice Please!!!!

You have it right. Don't even consider Pinnacle. I always put it this way. "There are hundreds of ways to make a cheaper spa." There is no valid comparison between these 2 brands. And if you want further proof, my other statement (which you will see in some of my previous posts) is this. READ THE WARRANTY AND NOT A WARRANTY SUMMARY! What a company believes about their products is in that warranty! When a spa manufacturer has short warranty periods, prorations, and/or reduced labor coverage, its because they know more about their spas than you do. It's just that simple.
A bit more advice? In seeking a new hot tub, do not confine yourself to just Sundance (which by the way, is now owned by Jacuzzi). If you want the best, in addition to Sundance & Jacuzzi, also look at Hot Springs, Bullfrog, Clearwater, & Caldera.
I clearly note in my profile that I am a hot tub dealer and I carry both Bullfrog and Clearwater. But I have done the research that you are seeking and that is why I carry these 2 brands! I've also spent many 100's of hours collecting and reading hot tub warranties. I put it all in an easy to read chart available on our website at http://www.premierehottubsofaustin.com/Hot-Tub-Shopping-Guide-v-86.html .
Good Luck and Happy Tubbing!

I've actually been researching Bulfrog for some years. I really like the tubs and the ideas behind it. The price I was quoted for the 451 is what was keeping me from pulling the trigger. Hence I started looking at other tubs in my budget.Premiere posted about the Bulfrog Series II tubs, so I looked into the 251 and after checking it out it really seems like that maybe the way I go. I'm planning on wet testing it, as well as the Great Lakes GL-4, and the Nordic Retreat in a couple of weeks. So ill see how things test out. I'll keep ya posted.:)

In today's economy where selection is even more crucial for shoppers, as mainstream thriftiness takes into place. This condition is opening the eyes of consumers to other outlets for purchasing intensified products like hot tubs & portable spas. Many consumers are getting more for their dollar by shopping at discount stores and wholesale chains. There are also many consumers that are taking it one step further by doing cost comparisons and purchasing products online. With disposable incomes decreasing, choosehottubsdirect and choose direct hot tubswants consumers to be able to purchase a luxury product such as a portable spa or hot tub.
Every tub smells of the wine it holds.You feel sexy when you get out of the tub - your skin is fresh and you've put up your hair without looking.

The post above is blatant spam. If you're considering anything from them PLEASE research them extensively. Here is a good site with some rather frightening information;

I'm looking at a Clearwater spa, St Andrews. The problem is the sales people. Very small outlet. No BBB. Price quoted was $9000. Including lifter,steps delivery and chemicals. Does this sound all right?

Peppyone,
I have no idea who your dealer is, but the price seems fair.

Hello,
And What price would match your requirements for your new purchase? 9000 USD. That price secures a good quality I guess. Have you considered Asian Spas? (cheap and honest quality)
Good day Ric

Two pieces of advice,
1) Try doing some research at the following link:
http://www.poolandspawarehouse.com/spamanufacturers1.htm
2)Make a list of at least 3 local Spa Repair companies in your area, get their phone numbers, call and ask them point blank, what spas (manufacturers) tend to have less service calls or tend to have less issues. Aside from getting your future business, a reputable company won't mind answering your question(s).
