There are plenty of negative reviews listed now. Still the majority are positive. I know this is an old thread, but they are still selling the Evolution Spa a year later and the reviews are still mostly positive. I am looking a Evolution as a possibility. I have another thread I started before I found this one. I have emailed Strong Spa's with some questions as well. We will see if they reply.

No replies here or in my other thread. Costco has been selling Evolution for 3 years? (Strong hot tubs) I think they are decent hot tubs, maybe not like a name brand but for 3-5K less, that covers a lot of repairs. From what I am reading I am not so sure there are a lot more repairs. I have never owned a hot tub but soon will buy. That's why I am here ...to learn. I have seen nothing to steer me away from them. Not too many unhappy customers I see. Show me I am wrong before I make a mistake. I am serious, I want to know.

Rod,
My comments of 9/27/10 remain unchanged. And today (6/14/11), there are STILL no owner reviews of either Evolution (or Strong for that matter) on this website:
http://www.hottubsparatings.com/cgi-bin/reviews.pl
With something like 1,000 spa reviews I know of no other more complete listing of owner comments, yet somehow on Costco you can find as many as 40+ "reviews" within a few months of the release of a "new model" from any of the brands they carry. I would think that if real owners were that interested in writing of their experience (as the Costco website would suggest), that at least a few of these people would also show up on this very popular spa rating website. Just my opinion, but I suspect others think the same.
By the way, the Evolution Warranty is substantially less than the Strong Warranty. You can find an analysis we did of all the major and most minor brands here:
http://www.premierehottubsofaustin.com/Hot-Tub-Shopping-Guides-v-86.html
Bottom line is my opinion is that Strong (Evolution) makes a decent mid-tier hot tub. If you can accept no local support and a substantially lesser warranty, then you might want to consider the Evolution Spa. However I'm not so sure you will be happy with the lower price only 2 years from now after your warranty is expired (or for that matter even a year from now since Evolution excludes labor after 1 year).
