(208.75.10.42) 		I have never thought that chlorination would be this scientific, but I imagine how much I would spend for pool chemical cost.

Is there a simpler explanation?

(122.166.42.158) 		A general comment: Once you have your pool built and completed it is always good to seek general information and instructions on pool maintenance from the builders itself. Usually a catalogue sort of thing is handed over by professional builders. This will help you combat with most issues in a hassle free manner. Of course for out of the book problems, you might need to resort to platforms like these unless your pool constructors also provide the maintenance service.

(75.27.166.34) 		The 10x rule is incorrect, and yes, CC already has chlorine attached to the ammonia so less chlorine is needed to get the job done.

This rule is important to live by for chlorine to ammonia levels.

3HOCl + 2NH3 ---> 2N2(g) + 3H2O + 3H+ + 3Cl-
Hypochlorous Acid + Ammonia ---> Nitrogen Gas + Water + Hydrogen Ion + Chloride Ion
