I recently had a pool installed and after the finish (marcite) was applied I noticed streaks in the bottom of the pool.We did notice that the workers were patching these areas right before the water was put into the pool. They told us it would be fine.
Now the company is saying a) the workers always have to go back and patch because of the spiky shoes they wear or b) because I am on a canal those were high water areas and this can happen on a canal...so I should just accept this.
I am not happy with the results - seems the pool needs to be drained and fixed properly. Am wondering though if anyone has heard this high water area story before... Thanks

I've been in the pool and spa repair industry for 30 years and have never heard of "high water" areas in a NEW pool. But then, in the area I live in we don't have such things. Sounds to me as though either they don't know how to fix it or just don't want to, I'd get a 2nd opinion from another local contractor and then go from there.

Never heard that before, i think that they ripped you off. We have been involved with repairs, equipment replacement, and the design and execution of customized systems. We are certified and trained by several large manufacturers such as Hayward, Pentair, Goldline and Sta-Rite.
