New Limelight Flair $5K?

As a first time portable hot tub buyer I found a Hot Spring dealer that had a 2009 (never had water) Limelight Flair hot tub available as an EMP (Employee Discounted?). I was told that dealers are alotted a certain amount of tubs for dealer employee purchase at a significant discount. I was quoted $5,000 + tax including cover+lifter, steps, ozonator & delivery. The clincher, no factory warranty, except 90 day from dealer.
Any advice, is this legitimate?
Thanks, any help appreciated.

On the surface this seems a good deal, but 3 things bother me.
1) Why no Hot Springs warranty? I know of no legitimate reason for no HS warranty for a 2009 model spa. Is it possible that this is really a used spa, despite the dealers statements to the contrary?
2) The price seems too low. Hot Springs (as they say) is rather proud of their spas.
3) Not sure I buy the EMP line either. Most spa companies are very restrictive of employee purchases - meaning they must be sold to legitimate identified employees (not for resale).
By the way, Hot Springs introduced the Limelight brand only about a year and a 1/2 ago. In my opinion, it's more about bling. Their website is largely flash for instance. And the warranty (from Hot Springs that is) is less than HS offers for both their Hot Springs and Tiger River brands.

I have to agree with the above post, there is absolutely no reason there isn't at least a 3 year warranty on that spa. Hot Springs doesn't offer any "special" deal for dealers (I don't know about Watkins employees, the company that owns the Hot Springs line). Dealers may offer their employees the spas at cost but that's the only thing I can think of. I would be cautious of the lack of warranty, but the price isn't really far off what that spa sells for, espcially with all the extras.
By the way, my company is a Caldera dealer which is also made by Watkins and they have some of the best warranties in the industry. We also service all Watkins brands in our area.

EMP's from Watkins are little known about. They're typically warranty returns that the factory has refurbished, that can no longer be sold as new. They're then offered back to dealers at a great discount with basically no warranty. Normally a dealer would then sell or give it to an employee (they're not really intended to be sold on a retail level).

I bought a used Limelight a year ago. I know I don't have a warranty, but I heard a rumor that Hot Springs may stop making these so I'm concerned about service in the future. Anyone know if this is true?

Even if Hot Springs were to decide to discontinue the Limelight, what would that have to do with obtaining service??? Hot Springs is probably the worlds largest spa manufacturer.
