pump from pool?

We have a pump from our above ground pool, can it be set up to run the hot tub, so we can save a little bit.

I wouldn't try using the pump itself in a spa, but if the motor in your spa pump is what went out and the pool pump is the same front end ie. square or round and is also the same or lower horse power just switch the motor out. I would advise taking both pumps down to a pool and spa supply and repair center and asking them, and if it can be done getting them to do it for you so you get all the seals back in correctly.
